Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones launched in India starting at Rs. 9499

HMD Global today launched the  Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones in India, as it had promised. All these smartphone have dual SIM support and has support for 4G VoLTE for Reliance Jio. The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 have a polycarbonate body, while the Nokia 6 comes with a unibody metal design.

The Nokia 3 is priced at Rs. 9499 and will be available exclusively from offline stores starting June 16th, Friday, Nokia 5 will is priced at Rs. 12,899, pre-booking starts on July 7 and will be available exclusively from offline stores next month and Nokia 6 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon.in. Registrations will begin July 14th.

HMD Global schedules an event in India on June 13, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 expected

HMD Global launchedthe 3310 feature phone in India last month, now it has started sending out invites for an event on June 13 where it is expected to launch Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, introduced Nokia 6Android smartphones. It already said that these phones will be launched globally, including  India in Q2 , 2017 at an affordable price and also promised that the phone will have a great quality.

In an interview to FoneArena at the MWC 2017, Ajey Mehta, India VP at HMD Global said that the company plans to manufacture its latest phones through Foxconn in India from day one. He also said that the new Nokia Android phones are expected to hit stores in India by June this year.

The complete portfolio will support dual SIM functionality in India. The Nokia 3,5,6 will also support Reliance Jio’s 4G VoLTE networks as there is support for Band 3, Band 5 and Band 40.

Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 were introduced for 139 Euros (US$ 163 / Rs. 10,560 approx.), 189 Euros (US$ 212 / Rs. 13,670 approx.). and 229 Euros (US$ 257 / Rs. 16,560 approx.), but the company had said that the phone will be sold at an affordable rate in India. We will have to wait for few more days to find out.

Nubia Z17 with 5.5-inch 1080p bezel-less display, Snapdragon 835, 8GB RAM, dual rear cameras announced

ZTE’s nubia brand just announced Nubia Z17, the company’s flagship smartphone in China, as it had promised. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p bezel-less display, is powered by an Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with Nubia UI 5.0. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture,0.03 second dual pixel focus, 1.4μm pixel size along with a secondary 23-megapixel secondary camera for 2x optical zoom and 10x dynamic zoom. It also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and NeoVision 7.0 camera features.

Nubia says that it is water resistant and it has passed 39 process for it but it has not mentioned any IP ratings. It has a unibody metal design and a fingerprint sensor on the back. It packs a 3200mAh built-in battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0, making it the first phone with QC4.0 support. The company says that 25 minutes of charge will offer all battery life.

The Nubia Z17 comes in Aurora Blue, Black Gold, Obsidian Black, Solar Gold, Flame Red colors and is priced at 2799 yuan (US$ 411 / Rs. 26,490 approx.) for the base 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 3399 yuan (US$ 499 / Rs. 32,170 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 3999 yuan (US$ 587 / Rs. 37850 approx.). It will be available for order starting today and goes on sale in China starting from June 6th.

YU YUREKA BLACK with 5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor launched for Rs. 8999

YU just launched YUREKA BLACK, the company’s latest smartphone at an event. It packs a 5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), which will be upgraded to Android 7.0 (Nougat) soon.

It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and Sony IMX258 sensor and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash. It also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It has a unibody metal design and is 8.7mm thick.
